If you haven’t tried playing a druid you haven’t played wow, some would say. Well, definitely playing a druid is a lot of fun. Druids are natural hybrids. They can be anything they would like to be, a tank, a rogue, a caster or a healer. They aren’t going to be the best of the best when it comes to playing any roll but they can be good at anything. The only two races that can be a druid are Night Elves on the Alliance side and Taurens on the Horde side. If you choose to play a Druid, it’s either going to be love on first sight or you will leave it and try playing another class. Druids are Shapeshifters. They can change forms instantly. While in Dire Bear a druid is more of a tank, while in Cat form he is more of a Rogue, while in Travel form he is faster when running and while in Sea lion form he is faster when swimming and also can breathe underwater. The talent tree of a Druid consists of three branches: Balance, Feral combat and Restoration.

Balance build - The Moonkin
By making a Balance build means that you decided to play a caster. The most important talents in this tree are the Moonkin form and the improved Moonkin form. A Moonkin is one of the most favorable characters in the raid. Other casters will love you since you will give them a +5% crit while in Moonkin form, and if you put 3 more points in the improved Moonkin form talent your party will also get 3% plus haste rating and you will get even more spell damage depending on the amount of spirit you have. Moonkin is a bit lower on dps in comparison with a mage but will definitely stay alive longer since he wears leather armor and also has a lot more armor and health then any cloth caster. One of the interesting spells a Moonkin has is force of nature which requires only one talent point. With this ability a Moonkin can summon three helpers in the form of Treants which are helpful and can do a nice dps for about 30 seconds. This ability may not be needed in pure pve game play, while you are in a 25 man raid but it is definitely good for solo grinding or pvp. Moonkins were commonly called “oomkins” because of their fast lose of mana. With a right build and improved gear this also will not be a problem and it will make an oomkin turn into a really good Boomkin!
Feral combat build - Bear and Cat
A Feral combat talent build is both useful for pve as well as for pvp. In pve a Feral Druid could be a really good offtank and also a main tank depending on the situation. In comparison to Warriors, Feral Druids have a lot more hp and armor but when it comes to tanking skills they lack. A tanking form of a Feral Druid is the bear form. While in this form a Druid needs rage same as a Warrior. While in Cat form he becomes a pure dps, similar to Rogue, needs energy, has the ability to become stealthed and to gather combo points while dpsing. A good Feral Druid will need to have two sets of armor, one for tanking and one for dps. Even though he isn’t a good healer with this build a Feral Druid can still help in healing raid members or his partner/s while playing pvp, by simply shapeshifting into normal form and using his healing skills while his mana lasts.
Restoration druid - The Tree of Life
A Resto Druid is the only healing class that has its healing based on hots aka healing overtime. Has instant heals and while in the Tree of Life form, a healer druid increases healing received on the party members. With three talent points in the improved Tree of Life talent, a druid will increase his healing power depending on the amount of spirit he has. Maybe not as good a single target healer as a priest or a paladin, a Restoration Druid is a need for the raid with his healing overtime spells and nearly impossible to kill in pvp.
