Alliance: Gnome Race - Azeroth's technology Master

Story

The History of the gnomes is quite unknown. The word is that they were made by the Titans as sort of robots to aid them with the development of Azeroth. The transmutation from metal to flesh was supposed to be an expected one. However, even the Gnomes aren’t sure how they developed to be into what they are these days.

As for the first interaction with another race – There is a story that is very old, and goes back to before the Second War. The dwarves had only just discovered how to make gunpowder while one of the Dwarves, stumbled upon a small Gnomish establishment and was surprised to see their technology. He found elevators, robot chickens and much more advanced weaponry than he could dream off.
The Dwarves and Gnomes engaged in a healthy relationship and formed an alliance. The Gnomes wanted to build a city of their own and, with approval of the Dwarves, they made Gnomeregan in the Ironforge Mountains. They made designs for the Dwarven Steamwagons, and other weaponry. The Gnomes, with their advanced technologies, served the Alliance well during the wars until the Third War started. The other races that formed the Alliance were shocked when they found out that the brave little Gnomes didn’t send any pilots to war.

Once the Third War was over they found out why the Gnomes weren’t able to help them. Their city, Gnomeregan got invaded by vicious Troggs and they lost the control of the city. Only a few Gnomes managed to escape towards the safety of Ironforge where they got their own district until today; Tinker Town. From there they have launched several missions and established several camps all over Azeroth and even in the Outlands. They didn’t manage to take back Gnomeregan till today. Therefore their faction is called the Gnomeregan Exiles.

When you decide to play a Gnome character, you will start you adventure in Dun Morogh. Like the Dwarves, the story will take you to Ironforge and then towards Loch Modan, the Wetlands, or Stormwind, Westfall, Redrigde Mountains and Darkshire.

Classes

You can choose from the following classes when you would like to play a Gnome:

Advantages

With their knowledge and advanced technologies, it is not a surprise that one of their racial abilities, Engineering Specialization, gives all Gnomes a bonus of 10 to their Engineering skill. Next to this racial ability, they also have the racial ability, called Escape Artist, to free themselves from any movement impairing effect.

What is great for the Gnome Mages and Warlocks, is the Expensive Mind ability which increases the total intellect of all Gnomes by 5%. This is probably one of the better Caster Racial Abilities out there.

All together, the Gnome is a funny character because of its size and with these great racial abilities it is definitely worth making a Gnome caster.
